I did and he priced the repair in a text message.I approved the repair by text and he gave me a time and day for the repair. The repair team called on that day and let me know they would be on the job site in 30 minutes. Just as Kyle had promised. The work was completed on the third day after I called. “I was given a time window of when to expect the Rep. Within the allowed time I got a call from the Rep saying he was 15 min out. Rep came and had me open the door. He watched it go up and before it was all the way up, he said I needed new rollers. He quoted a price, I agreed and he went to work. These were replaced, the system thoroughly lubricated, and it runs like new. He looked over the entire system and said it was good to go, and left in about an hour’s time. Excellent experience. “Very happy with everything about Top Notch. Both Ricardo and Kyle were great. Always quick to answer any questions I had. I contacted them after doing lots of research and contacting different shops in the area. I had a unique request. I had standard 7ft high doors and wanted 8ft high doors to clear vehicles with roof racks. They came out and inspected the openings inside and out and then came up with a plan. I also wanted a strong door, with steel on both sides and insulated, with strengthening ribs on the inside….oh.. and jack motors on the sides instead of above so The doors could open up high and maximize the space. They came up with a plan showed me the options and I placed the order. The doors arrived sooner than expected and we set a date for the install. Brick was removed on a Monday, the openings were raised, tie beam moved up and doors installed over the next 2 days by Evan and Earl , they even roughed in the drywall inside since it is a finished garage. Then Wyatt came in and finished the motor install, adjustments and fine tuning. These doors are awesome!! They are smooth and quiet. And I can open them from anywhere with the wifi set up. Everything was worth it.”

One week later Evan returned with my new garage door and every brand new part that made up the complete package. Evan is so careful and detailed in his work. Once getting approval for repair/replacement from the home warranty company, the company immediately sent a technician, Wyatt, out to diagnose the problem. “Our garage door had finally become more problematic than it was worth dealing with. It took at least 3 or 4 attempts to get the door to go down when leaving the house. I called Top Notch Garage Door and scheduled replacement with Roscoe. Like most quality contractors these days, it was going to be a week before they could get it installed. I asked Roscoe to keep me in mind if they had a cancellation and could come install it sooner. Fortunately, they did have a cancellation and got to us 3 days early. Wyatt, the installer was very courteous and professional. After he got the door installed, he tested operation and unfortunately, the garage door was still taking 3 to 4 attempts to get it closed. This meant that we needed a new opener unit as well. Fortunately, Wyatt had a LiftMaster on his truck and was able to install it on the spot as well so we didn’t have to wait for that. After the new opener unit was installed, Wyatt tested it and everything worked great. We were pleased to learn that the new opener was Wifi capable and we would be able to use our iPhones to open the door instead of having to reprogram all of our old remote units. I highly recommend Top Notch Garage Door. They are professional, timely and very competitively priced.”

Evan’s knowledge and over the phone customer service made me very comfortable. Unfortunately, someone else from Top Notch came the next day and they did not do a good job explaining why the motors were not working and the motors were not programmed correctly. When I called the after hours customer service number I was not satisfied with their response, especially when I was chastised for calling the technician directly rather than calling customer service first. After spending $3,500 Top Notch would have a customer for life if customer service could have done a better job of making sure we were a satisfied customer.”

This would include showing me how the new door operated and on the doors that he serviced, he showed me what he lubricated and how he had to tighten the springs. “I called Top Notch because I thought I had a bad spring on one of my garage doors because the door would only open a few inches and then stop. Ryan came out the next business day and quickly assessed that the spring was still in good condition, just that the motor horsepower was set too low. He adjusted the horsepower up on both doors, and also performed a quick lube of all the necessary points. I really appreciate them not doing a $300 spring replacement when it was not needed. The guys were honest with the repair and only charged me a minimum labor charge for coming out. I was extremely pleased with the honesty and will be calling them again in the future if I have more trouble.”
